Details of the webinar

Last September 18, an Information Technology Company, Upskill IT Workshop, organized and conducted an online seminar for IT students and professionals about Website Development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Upskill IT Workshop aims to equip every young people with practical and in-demand skills that are easy to learn because it is actual training and is transferable and monetizable. They are conducting series of workshops, training, and services.

The said webinar was conducted via Facebook live in their official Facebook page and over 1000 individuals attended the said webinar. They invited multiple professional for their resource speakers such as Mr. Dindo Cerado and Mr. Al Randolph Villegas.

Mr. Dindo Cerado, an Order Management Specialist II from Vertiv Singapore Holdings – ROHQ, discussed some life lessons about using the web and the internet. He talked more on changes in lifestyles because of the internet and the technology.

Mr. Al Randolph Villegas discussed about Web Development. The flow of the talk was from the basics and fundamentals into the intermediate knowledge about Web Development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Lastly, Mr. Happy Rafols discussed what does Upskill IT Company really is. Moreover, before the workshop ends, all of the participants answered an assessment for a webinar e-certificate.


Reflection/ Learnings about webinar

It was a great experience attending in Upskill IT Workshop Company’s Saturday webinar. I am aware that the topic is solely for beginners, and in my own opinion, this webinar was just a refreshment for my knowledge about using HTML, CSS, JavaScript. 

In addition, I also learned new stuffs about how to conquer daily struggles, how can the technology affect us, and etc. These things are not only for those normal people. I, as a aspiring developer, it helps me a lot to improve my daily lifestyle as I take my everyday path of being a successful individual.

To conclude, I felt like there’s something inside myself that was improved through the learnings that I have got in this webinar, not only those technical skills for Web Development, but also life learnings.


Reflections on possibilities of implementing the learnings on life applications

Learning in this kind of webinar will be helpful because they do not focus on discussing about Web Development, they also tackled self-improvement. Personally, I can apply those learnings, both technical and practical skills, in my daily lifestyle and also as I take my journey to be a successful professional. 


Positive feedback

Beside from wide variety of the topics that have been discussed, the webinar was enlightening and also an engaging one because the emcee of the event was so lively and they know how to handle active participation from the participants even that we are watching on Facebook live.


Suggestions for improvements

The organizers from Upskill IT Workshop can invite resource speakers from different IT community and also have a partnership with different organizations and school for the widening of the memberships and participation of their activities.
