Blog # 1 as Participant - Angular on Cross Platform

Details of the webinar
Last Setpember 16, StackLeague, an organization that has a mission to develop programming leaders that inspire a nation into coding, has organized a webinar for programmers, IT students and professionals. The said webinar was entitled as “Angular on Cross Platforms”, with their resource speaker, Mr. Seiji Villafranca, a Software Engineer from Smartbite Malaysia. Angular on Cross Platform was streamed live via facebook and has been watch by over 150 students and professionals across the whole country.
The said webinar was
started by the overview of what StackLeague really is. The StackLeague is
powered by StackTrek’s fully-automated talent analytics and assessment platform
and they aim to gather thousands of IT students and professionals to compete
and rank amongst the best programmers in the country. StackLeague was initially
launched by March 16. It was a pioneering programming league, gathering of over
5,000 tech talents across the country to test their coding acuity. StackLeague also showcased their partners
including JobStreet, Micrsoft, WorkBank, Viber, Accenture, AWS, and many
others.
The introduction about
StackLeague was followed by the introduction about the speaker. I was really
amazed by his credentials, and also knowing that he is one of the community
leaders of Angular Philippines was great because I’ve heard a lot about Angular
Philippines and they have a great image when it comes into the programming
community in our country.
When Mr. Seiji started
his education talk, he tackled more on what does Angular really is. He
considered those who are not familiar in Angular and those who are just on the
beginner level. I think the flow of his talk was great because even those you
don’t have bare knowledge about the topic, can learn and cope up with the
information.
Reflection/ Learnings about webinar
During the education
talk of Mr. Seiji, he was not a boring speaker because he delivered his talk
nicely and surely full of learnings for every one of us watching in Facebook. I
learned a lot all throughout the webinar. I learned about basics and
fundamentals of Angular, to Cloud Deployment, and also Cross Platform
Deployment, introduces me to PWA and deploying web applications to desktop
applications.
Reflections on possibilities of implementing the learnings on life applications
I can apply my learnings
in this webinar to my future projects, not even in class or school level, but
also in my workplace especially in building some desktop applications. I learned
a lot in this webinar.
Positive feedback
To conclude this
reflection, the whole webinar of StackLeague was a great platform for beginner
to explore more in programming community. And for those who are known Angular
but want to dive more on deploying, this webinar was so helpful. The flow and
the way the webinar was delivered to the audience was excellent. It was a nice
webinar to start my IT Webinars and Educational Trips course.
Suggestions for improvements
The whole webinar was excellent.
Maybe if there’s one thing to improve, the organizers should consider another
platform to conduct because the Facebook live it not for speaker-participant
interaction. They might consider zoom or other video conferencing applications
for their future webinars.
